Cooper City covers about 8 square miles in southwest Broward County, with about 34,400 residents as of the 2020 census. It sits between Davie to the north, Pembroke Pines to the south and Southwest Ranches to the west.
Getting around
Florida's Turnpike is about 4 miles east and I-75 about 5 miles west. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is about 15 miles away.
Parks
Brian Piccolo Sports Park & Velodrome covers about 175 acres, with a cycling velodrome, cricket fields and soccer fields. Bill Lips Park, the Cooper City Sports Complex and Flamingo West Park round out the city's parks, and C.B. Smith Park is a short drive south.
Shopping and errands
Stirling Road is the main corridor. Countryside Shops on Flamingo Road, Embassy Lakes Shopping Center and Timberlake Shopping Center cover daily needs, and Pembroke Lakes Mall is about 4 miles south.
